This is a cool experience. This is my brother in law and I snorkeling with Stingrays in Grand Cayman - 2003. It is a unique experience for sure. Had a great time and hope to do it again the next time I travel that way!

Ok this may be a dumb question but if you swim with stingrays aren't you going to get stung?

I think they are so well adapted to all of the tourist's that they are tame. Well, tame enough not to sting. You can feed them squid and they get fed all the time. It is a great experience....

I was just there last year with my wife. Pretty amazing how far out the ride was to get to stingray city and then the sandbar shows up out of nowhere. Great time. Hope you hit Puro Reys while you were there. Its one of the only direct retailers to cuba in the caribbean and the owner Damian is a really cool guy.

I too was surprised at how long the ride out to Stingray city was. I was also intrigued by how clear the water was! I have been all over the Caribbean and I think the water in the Caymans beats them all!

Been there, done that.. excellent trip..
Grand Cayman- best dive site in the Islands IMO..
If you go ask the locals about diving off "the cemetary".. coral reefs 75 yards off the beach, no
dive boat needed.. sharks,lobsters,barracudas, colorful
fish beyond the imagination..

cayman (where'd I come up with that handle)
he,he!

prior to stopping at stingray city, our guide stopped and let us do some snorkeling on a small reef. There was a coral eel and a baracuda there. I seen the eel and got back in the boat. I felt safer with the stingrays and my feet in the sand! LOL!

Did last year, had a great time !!

Swallowed about a half gallon of sea water by the end of the day, ended up spending half the next day on the john, loose as a goose !!!!

I'm still not sure if the loosey goosey episode was caused by the sea water or the 17 margaritas I drunk $%*# 😉

By the way, great pic
Cuda,
