BIG bulls!

Hell of a day of fishing south of Cocodrie. Caught them and about 8 more on 10# trout rods baited with croakers. Didn't catch a damn trout though. Had two 40# rods hanging on the ransom with cracked crab. Not a nibble.

Its like that some days.

A herfing friend of mine is a marine biologist at LSU. He tells me that they have been seeing more adult croakers the last year or so. He's not sure why, but suspects that less are being killed as shrimping by-catch due to the lower numbers of shrimpers in gulf waters.
