This is my 72 Bronco. Had it for 3 years now and it is my 3rd Bronco.

My kids call it "Dad's Monster Truck".

So, do you want to sell it?? Just kidding. Nice find. They don't make them like that anymore.

OJ had a Big Bronco. This is the old smaller body style. Much more of a box than OJ's 🙂.

Nice...besides the Mustang, this is one of my fav Fords...

After I show my B-I-L the pics of my friends Bronco...I told him that he ought to go out and rekindle his love for Broncos...

He had one when he was a teenager...

Well, he did, and boy is he ever into it!!!

I'll post some before and after pics when he's finished...well, can one EVER be finished!?

Mods well a few. It has a Ford F-150 front end so it has a Dana 44 and front disc brakes, It has a 3" Duff lift, 33" tires, a 4 speed tranny conversion, bedliner, paint, bucket seats out of a Honda, power steering, new carpet, new steering wheel, basically the engine is the stock 302 and the frame is the original, it also has a koenig pto winch that was an add on to order at the factory.

Theres more but those are the main ones.

Thats really nice Chris. I always thought the early Broncos were what everyone wished a jeep could be - a kick-ass v8 no nonsense offroader. Is that the toploader 4 speed? Never understood why Ford only put a three speed in them.......

Now you got me thinking of my Hot Rod days. Gonna dig out a picture of a '57 Coupe I used to race in the good ol' days........

It might just be the picture but did you put those fender flairs on with a putty knife?

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA! I had a 1979 Jeep CJ-7 with a factory 304 cubic inch engine. It had a three speed tranny and was unstopable. I ran circles around many Broncos just like this one. The Broncos aren't bad, but they need alot of work if they want to keep up with an older factory Jeep, on or off road.

WHOA WHOA WHOA John. Let me be more specific - in '72 Jeep did not offer a V8 in their utility models like the CJ-5. Ford's Bronco filled the gap for the hot rodder who wanted to go off road. Different vehicles for different markets. I had a lot of friends that prefered the older CJ and did the small block conversion trick to put some real balls in 'em. 6 cylinders just wasn't cool amongst all the 350's, 383's, 389's, 396's, 421's, 427's, 440's, 454's, etc., etc..........

Jeeps changed a whole lot in the next 5-7 years. I'm not saying they were bad, far from it. It just took them a while to give the performance enthusiast what they were looking for.

I see what you were saying, Bronco did have the V8 first, but I would love to have that Jeep back. That thing was a tank.

Very nice castlewa! I've got a 77 sitt'n in front of the house. Do you spend any time on classicbroncos, they just help to fuel the addiction to these things. I'm suprised that you have money left for cigars!

Used to spend a lot of time at Classic Broncos until I found this place!!! Now I can't afford my Bronco habit!

Looks just like my old Bronco.
Mine had the 300 six, plenty of torque.
I used it to commute from Erving Texas, to Arlington, back when 360 was under construction. By way of 360 it would take 1hr, and 30 minutes to get to work, by way of the Trinity river bottoms, 45 min. tops. If the water was up, I had to go by way of 360, ouch. Everywhere that there is an overpass now, was a 4way stop.
I Loved, and miss, my Bronco.
