Zach had career day at school last week. The city's fire and police men went by the school and talked with all the kids. Zach received all kinds of goodies. The fire hat being one of them. So now it looks like he wants to be a fireman. He sleeps with the hat on his bed, every night. (Along with a bunch of other stuff! LOL)

Before my mom quit teaching, she had me come in on career day and talk to her 6th grade class about being a criminal defense attorney. First ten minutes were OK. Next 50 was the little smartarses asking me about smuggling a file into jail to help someone escape. How that could be done, different ideas on how to do that, etc. I could not break them off of the topic, no matter what I said or did. On the plus side, my mom never asked me back for career day.

I never wanted to be a Fireman but a buddy roped me into it. We have a volunteer dept. The volunteering stops once you sign up, but I still love it 16 years later!
