I was watching some Che acolyte's documentary film about the extermination of militant commie guerrilla groups in Argentina in the 1970's. It featured all of the expected reports of torture, murder, Pinochet-style flights and disappearances of the Castro-loving illiberal lefties who sought to overthrow their gubment and instill the same utopian Castro/Che-esque military dictatorship and property confiscation policies in Argentina.....it was the fashion of the times.

While I sympathize with the revulsion at the brutality of the methods used, it never seems to dawn on the people interviewed in the film that the military dictatorships of the "Left" use the same methods as the military dictatorships of the "Right." Soooo, what.........is it only ok to torture, murder and steal if it is done by the Left?

Is Cuba their idea of a successful Lefty regime in which the people who are left alive, ahem, flourish?

Just another fair and balanced piece aired by PBS.

I used to belong to a website...Bureaucrash...it was pretty damned awesome. I still have a tshirt that has the iconic pic of Che, but wearing Mickey Mouse ears instead of the beret. Capitalism to the rescue...again!

The other irony that was completely lost on some of the interviewees, and the documentary filmmaker himself, was that by making their way to USA, they both survived the pogram and are free to talk about it and make a film about it.

Most communists are no more than monarchs and nobles lying in wait. But instead of using some god or a God and Divine Right as justification for their brutal regimes, they use "the people" and "fairness" as their excuses.

And like the pro-monarchists of old, who were proud to ben their knee to other men based on some sort of tradition, delusion, or other alterior motives, communist boot-lickers at places like PBS bend their knee to monsters like Che'. They do this because their either delusional enough to think that people like Che' actually believe the crap they spew, they are dumb enough to think that under people like Che' things will be differentt, or they are looking to garner favor with people like Che' for their own gratification and elevation.

Jesus was right: before kingdoms change, men must change. They haven't. So we get more monsters and boot-lickers with each successive generation.
