I got an offer I could not refuse, I collect autographs and things (junk) lol!
Well a botl offered to get me Al Feldstine's autograph for free! Well I almost shat myself....
Dkeage aka Kipp is one hell of a nice guy! I can't say it enough, Kipp you really made my day. I hope you enjoy the rockets I sending as a thank you!

I love MAD. And to have Al's autograph, wow. I's also give my eyeteeth to get Sergio Argones autograph too.

For those of you who don't know who Al is (was). He was a co-creator of EC Comics back in the 40's. Thats where "Tales from the Crypt" originated. Al drew alot of the covers.

In the 50's, he took over as Editor of MAD magazine, which he was for almost 30 years.

We met him while traveling in Montana, where he now lives on 250acres that border the Yellowstone River.

We stay with him and his wife, each summer when we go up there, and they always go out to eat/drink with my wife and I whenever they pass through Houston.

Al paints alot of landscapes now, and my wife and I are lucky enough have an original oil painting he did.

Great Guy, with Great stories.

Ahhh the memories...the hours wasted reading that in class instead of whatever assignment we were supposed to be reading. Finding the jems hidden in he margins. The satire (still never forget the Starsky and Hutch spoof when after taking Starkys temperature Hutch takes the thermometer out of Starkys mouth and says, "what does rectal mean"...)

Sure do. I'm originally from WY, and have family still there. Started off fishing around there, then moved up to MT. Pretty nice having 1.5mi of Yellowstone riverfront on Al's property. Going again in June!

Sounds great! I love that area in the Fall, just before the snows, when the big Browns are around.

Cool pic, better story. Dad always had a subscription to MAD. I loved it when they would come in the mail, but I had to wait for dad to finish first, then I could puruse the pages and laugh myself silly.

Really liked Spy vs Spy

Stumbled upon Al Feldstein in Montana, and was really impressed by what he'd done.

Spent a loooong nite arguing (discussing) politics with him.
