I think I've seen a few of the pc police stop by to see if there's further need to tattle on our potential hate speech. You can always spot them by their matching head & wrist band combos.

If one person is offended, the thread should be pulled.

And if one person is offended by cigars or cigar smoke, they should no longer be sold.

It is important that nobody is ever offended by anything ever again.

It's a numbers game 8... they're trying to gauge exactly how many people are represented by each complaint (ie, multiple people may be turned off by something, but only one will actually speak up), vs how many people they'll piss off by pulling something.

We're all adults and we all realize that a company is going to sell more of whatever product they sell by appealing to as broad a base as possible. If their forum gets a negative reputation, their sales may suffer. This has zero to do with "not offending anyone" because they're trying not to hurt anyone's feelings. If you want to have an argument over our society becoming overly sensitive and PC, you have to base the discussion around an actual public arena where free speech actually matters.

If cbid were purveyors of fine conical white hoods and robes, I'm sure what would be considered "acceptable topics" would be much different. It's all about the money.

You would think that controversy & politically incorrect humor would draw attention to this site (our threads pop up on google all the time)... and that this attention would more than make up for whatever offended audience is driven away... but what do I know? Socialist Spain is almost bankrupt prolly because of me. 🍺

And yes, I saw as much of that asian rap video as I could, brother.8-[ 🤦

Yes.
Because only the kkk can poke fun at Obama speaking like a southern baptist minister.

Vic, this is why nobody really listens to liberals. And why so few liberals self identify themselves as such.

I realize the rest of your post was actually true. This IS about the money.
But even subtle jabs that suggest racism whenever a critique or an attempt at humor is made shows that the liberal agenda is a one-trick pony.

The KKK example had nothing to do with the specific thread that was pulled, I was just using an extreme to illustrate a situation where a company looking to court specifically racist individuals may make the choice to actively pull threads that are speaking against racism (the entire point being that any company is going to tailor, to a greater or lesser extent the content of the forums not on a "liberal" or "conservative" agenda, but to fit a profile of the broadest consumer base they can hit). This will hold true for any company, and will change based on the profile of their consumer.

That's my point. This is in no way a liberal/conservative thing and to try to blame the "liberal agenda" is really grasping at straws. Hell, for all you know it could have been conservatives who complained (trish did say you'd be surprised)

I bet it had nothing to do with politics and was a chick. Usually the chicks are the only ones that complain and the only ones CB listens to. Darn chicks. they even made it so the word C O C K gets edited in here
