I remember the '08 election...there were Obama/Biden signs...EVERYWHERE! Borderline cultish devotion. This election cycle...I'm not seeing the signs, billboards and bumper stickers like last time. Matter of fact for every Obama/Biden sign I see in the Tampa metro area...I see 4 Romney/Ryan signs.

Here's what happened when Obama came to town...

"Lisa DeBartolo now works administering the family’s charitable foundation; her husband is a singer and songwriter for a local band, Miggs.

The area where the couple live is affluent and heavily Republican. Neighbors who clearly were aware of the event in advance planted Mitt Romney campaign signs in their yards for the occasion, in addition to making some signs of their own.

Free markets, not free loaders”, said one sign at a home across the street; “The bro has got to go”, said another nearby.

Crowds were sparse but friendlier, waving and snapping photos, as the president’s motorcade traversed West Tampa streets including Lois and Cypress on the way to and from the airport."

There are these old looking army trucks with canvas covered backs driving through the neighborhood. They stop at the Republicans houses and carry in the big green seed pods . . . .

I heard the Obamaphones were pre-programed with subliminal messages designed to brainwash anyone who uses them... even the people they call.... 😟

unfortunately most of the lawns that have a romney sign around here have an Akin sign next to it. Not many Big O signs though.

Most of the signs around here are for the Senator election: Scott Brown vs. Squaw Warren.

But one thing's for sure. There are no "the bro has got to go" signs.
If you're going to be racist, you should either make it humorous or just simply go full bigot.
Maybe play a clip of Biden telling us that "y'all will be in chains".
Or Obama conjuring up his southern black roots and quoting Kanye West.

Or get a tattoo of WWDDD?
(what would david duke do?)

I have seen one Obama sign, then yesterday my first Romney/Ryan sign. What there is a ton of are these ''America vs Obama'' signs. More and more of them everyday. Seems the local races get all the fanfare. Of course living in NY....well no need to explain.

Rather few for either candidate. Lots for other races.

Even though this is mostly Obama country, not much passion here in Maryland for anyone unless you go into Baltimore or hispanic neighborhoods like Gaithersburg, Johan.

I suspect people are in a state of shock in my neighborhood. No more block parties, prolonged friendly chatter, political yard signs, flags, etc. They just scurry to and from work. I call it "social cocooning". Well, except for the two who work for the IRS. They are happier than pigs in, er, heat.

Oh no...the Hope and Change has worn off there finally?

The reason for this is something I've suspected for quite some time. The polling data has been manipulated all along and skewed this race as something it's not. Even with the mass hysteria into which he was propelled into the White House with I'm wondering which race is closer...Carter/Reagan or Reagan/Mondale??? I believe one of these is how its going to go. The media is completely onboard and their bias is unrivaled...well, we'll always have Venezuela! You get the picture!

^ Actually kinda sad. Everyone avoids eye contact & goes their own way.
Wonder if it's me?!:-k Yeah, prolly.

But you know what really perplexes me? The cheering tapestry of happy folks behind Obama as he reads the teleprompter. What world are these Stepford folks from???
