James Carville is a Democratic political consultant and media personality who gained fame for his role as the lead strategist of Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. According to campaign lore, he coined the phrase, "It's the economy, stupid'' as a constant reminder to the candidate to focus on the issue voters cared about most. Mr. Carville has continued to work as a political consultant, but has won more fame since then as a media personality. He has served as a longtime co-host on CNN's Crossfire and continues to appear regularly on the network. He is married to Republican political consultant Mary Matalin, with whom he appeared in HBO’s lobbyist series “K Street.” He is also a close friend of Hillary Clinton and a contributor to her presidential campaign.

Well, once again it's the economy, yet all he wants to do is talk about Big Bird.
