I enjoy taking pictures of just about anything. Sometimes I take macro shots of inanimate(sp)objects. This is one of my favorites. I also collect watches. So 2 of my interests cross paths here.

Do any of you enjoy photography like this? Some objects are very interesting up close. I've got this watch in front of a black velvet background. The band is black leather so you cant see it. The watch itself is stainless so the color is a reflection of my surroundings I guess, but that enhanced the look in my opinion.

I love this camera. It's an Epson PC3000Z. It's about 3 years old. At the time it was a high end camera. It's a 5 megapixel camera that has interchangable lenses and filters. Enjoy!

i stopped wearing a watch when i retired. the last time i wore one was in vegas several years ago.

a big heavy silver band with two large turquoise nuggets. i was at a macine in vegas and this old lady came up to me and asked if i had the time. i responded of course with, "do you have the money?"

she fled and toby busted up laughing.

Tranny. Photography has been a passion of mine also and I've actually thought about possibly trying it out as a part-time gig on nights and weekends photographing pets. Still have a ways to go till I'm that good, but looking for a good on-line course to take if you know of any.

Rick.. I did the same thing? Course with my Job it was watches, rings, loose jewlery removed so every day I would take my watch off and stuff my wedding band through the watch band and in the pocket it would go...many times I would forget to put it back on if we went out somewhere..

fpaternostro...I dont know about any classes like you speak of. I wouldnt mind taking a photography class myself. All I know I learned myself. Good luck if you go into pet photography.

The only other forum I participate in is on www.broadarrow.net it is a Military Watch collectors site. If you are into watches it is a great site to check out, it is just like our cigar forum as far as wealth of knowledge and people who have forgotten more than I will ever know, only about watches instead of cigars. The unplugged forum is great for topics not pertaining to watches.

I keep bitchin my wife out Tranny everytime I bring up this pic. I have an all stainless grey pinstripe Datejust she got me last year for our anniv., but I really wish we went spent the extra money and at least got the two-tone. I'm a big watch guy and the Gold really makes this watch. Nice buddy.

Very nice time piece, I love photography and watches, I used to shoot with a Minolta x-700 and an XG-1 with cokin filters,....I can't beleive how techology changed so fast. Now its all digital, I am an invicta watch person, I love most of the elite diamond invicta watches....

I worked in a film processing facility for a few years, back in the early 80's, while in college. Can still remember the smell of C41. Worked on the side with one of my coworkers, shootng weddings and little league teams, etc. It was fun using a Hasselblad (503 I think) because at that time I couldn't even dream of being able to afford one. Back then, that camera was worth more than my car. LOL.

I recently traded-up from a Nikon Coolpix 5000 to a Canon 20D. What a sweet camera. With a 4GB microdrive I can shoot all day and then dump the RAW images into iPhoto on my Mac. Sometimes use Adobe Photo Elements or PhotoShop.
