If you are talking about all the jumbo prawns you can eat ... we didn't see any this time around. It's been remodeled since the last time we were there, and some things have changed ... but, for $10, it's the best deal around. The dessert bar is to die for ...

Oh, and justforfun, if your friends have never tried a 'Bananas Foster', tell them they must have one. It's probably the most incredible dessert I have ever had. They can find it at Harvey's:

daveyg2: my reference was merely a (knee jerk)sarcastic retort to your reference of my being a genius (boy, after taking the mensa quiz, it's a far, far, far reach). i don't have any ph.d's; i obtained a J.D. in 1979, after figuring out that a social science degree and $50 can't buy enough Kopi Luwak to make a pot of coffee (and i wasn't interested in teaching --- despite all the benefits the library, and always being on campus, had to offer).

slimboli: thanks very much for the wealth of information. i'm pretty sure i was thinking of 'Llewellyn's'; i'll let my friends know about the restaurants you've listed and the Bananas Foster (they'll genuinely appreciate it having never been there before). The way you've described the Sage Room and the Bananas Foster, I think i'm going to drive up to Tahoe the first week of August for a good meal, with the desert being the primary reason (excuse), of course.
