Besides the jetblast, I bet the wake vortex gives you sand rash as well ...

It is scary to be right there at the end at the end of the runway. We were driving on that road toward the hotel/casino that is right there when a giant KLM plane seemingly came out of nowhere, flew 15 ft above the jeep and landed.

St Maarten is a beautiful island though and one of ouer favorite places in the caribbean.
