Had a friend that told the strippers at the clubs that his wife recently passed. Got all kinda crazy attention.

I've heard bits and pieces of this story about a half dozen times already....and I'm still not sure I get it. 🤔

So...did his grandma die? Did he have a grandma? Did his girlfriend die? Did he even have a girlfriend? Has he ever met her, or was he pulling a Kip & Lafonda thing over the internet? Did he meet a girl on the islands then shuffle off to the states and Notre Dame, never going back home to see her? Did he and his mom hookup via Match.com in some bizarre coincidence, and when his mom realized who she was chatting with she had to come up with an escape plan? 😕 Inquiring minds want to know....actually, I really don't care. It's not like it's real news.

Yes Grandma died and was real. That apparently is the lone truthful statement.

They "dated" for three years, never met, but spoke on telephone and she had facebook page (dude - WTF)
Claimed she died right after grandma. Lots of mourning with teamates.
A reporter finally tried to track down the gravesite and family to get a story. Girl does not exist - never did.
Apparently Teo notified ND this was a scam back in November.
No one did anything about it or said anything until after National Championship game - That is unethical.
Nice Catholic University you have there. Sounds like a place I want to send my kids to for an education (I think not).
NOTRE SHAME.

I think his draft prospects just splashed in the crapper.
