I was having all sorts of trouble with Ubuntu so I switch to Linux Mint... which is based on Ubuntu.

This is one of the cool desktop backgrounds available. And that would be a nice herfin' spot!

And, of course, there's a little plug for cigarbid in there. :-)

(I scaled this down to be able to upload it here, which makes it a bit less sharp. The original image is 1920x1200 on my BenQ 24 inch monitor. Clicking on the image brings it up about 1/3 bigger.)

Nice! I think you will like Mint. I have installed and used it on a couple of computers. I also have Mint and Puppy Linux installed on memory sticks to boot corrupted OS installs.

What version of Mint are you running? And is it KDE?

It's Linux Mint 14 Nadia.

It's not KDE. And I'm a little out of touch. Not sure what the manager is?

I'll have to get back in there and do some checking.

Looks like the default desktop environment is Mate, as oppose to Cinnamon.
