couple of things about ole Lizzie - first of all there are almost as many theories about the Lizzie Borden case as there is about Jack The Ripper.

Second, did anyone see the movie where Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha from Bewitched) played Lizzie - they had an interesting theory where she killed good ole dad and step mom in the buff and then washed all the blood off - thought that was interesting....

I saw that too Liz. Kind of a Lizzie buff myself. Last I heard the Borden house is now a Bed and Breakfast!

From what I've read, witness testimony, floorplans of the house, etc. there is just about no freakin way she didn't do it. But people of the time couldn't accept that a woman could be so ruthless and cold blooded.We've since learned different.

I'm a true crime buff - got court tv on right now as a matter of fact LOL I like the psychological aspects of crime - both from the viewpoint of the crime and criminal and those that investigate and try the cases, when you tie everything together it's just fascinating.

yes I have read some of John Douglas's stuff and it is awesome. I also love the true crime programs such as they have on stations like A&E, court tv. I just got finished watching several new detective shows which were pretty good. But cases like Lizzie Borden and Jack the Ripper are great because they are unsolved so to speak anyways - most people are convinced that Lizzie did do in her father and step monster err mother but Jack the Ripper is extraordinary with all the theories and stuff. I have a book that is interesting where they theorize that an American dr was Jack the Ripper - he went to England due to some involvement in the Lincoln assassination - it is an interesting read so far...

The house is in Falls River, my wife and I spent the night in it a couple of years ago,it is a bed and breakfast with of course educational tour of the unsolved murder.

We slept in the bedroom where her Stepmother was murdered. In the room was a police photo of the crime scene and I could look on the floor beside the bed where her body was found.

There were many theories, but I think she did it. Her father was rich but also a miser. After the murder and her not guilty verdict she led a very lavished and wild life style

Wealthy yes, but shunned by the community she was raised in.
