The school has a policy (according to what I heard on the radio) of NO GUN images on clothing.

So military or not, if the shirt had a gun image it was contrary to the schools policy. Sorry.

If you're outraged change the policy.

Wow...and this is someone who is supposed to be educating our kids? I hope it wasn't in history class...

One more reason why we'll be homeschooling our kids...I'm not the sharpest tack by far, but certainly not as dumb as this idjit.

What bias do you think I have?

I just know teachers, and sometimes they make dumb decisions, especially when you drill 0 tolerance policies into their heads, and then they see a shirt with a gun on it. This one in particular didn't cause anyone harm (he had to wear his shirt inside out... for the WHOLE day?!) and the school even said they wouldn't have done it, and that it would be reviewed with the teacher.

I just don't think we should be acting like it was some sort of calculated political attack on our freedom, or that teachers now hate the military, or whatever this hogwash is saying.

Like I said, I heard a radio report snippit that stated the school district had a policy that prohibited images of guns on clothing.

If they don't then the teacher is dumb for not simply talking to the principal.
