All I saw was someone wishing the president was in the same city where a lawn chair was damaged. It would be a much greater offense to wish the president visited Detroit or Philadelphia for an overnight stay.

is wishing physical harm on a prez at the hands of a foreign national patriotic now? we've come a long way. it used to be unpatriotic to be against invading a soverign country based on ginned up charges.

I was in Israel recently.

On average, Idi Amin Jr. is not all that well liked. Israelis kinda divide themselves into two factions: conservative and liberal, and admit as much. Yet, the people I talked to will tell you one thing: regardless of politics, at the end of the day they are all Jews, they all live in Israel. And some of those liberal ones have not forgotten the carnage of the Intafadas (sp:?).

So, their collective dislike of Junior doesn't surprise me all that much.

On one of my cab rides back to the hotel, I managed (or should say, was dragged into) a political discussion with the cabbie about politics. Not wanting to p*ss the guy off and have to walk back to the hotel having to carry my laptop in bag with a busted strap in some foreign land where I stick out like a green thumb with my colorful Hawaiian shirt on, I tried to keep it "light" (if that is possible in a political discussion).

The cabbie was obviously a Bibi guy, so it made things a bit easier on my end.

That guy thought that Idi Amin Jr. was a Kenyan Muslim.

I agreed with him.

Good times had by all...
