Victor, I take issue with your statement and attitude toward mankind. Children were meant to be a shining example. I see that it was lost on you.

You may not feel an obligation to the race that brought you into being.
You may feel no sense of ‘pay it forward’ to the planet that provides you your next breath.
You may in fact have no love for the circle of life that you are a part of.
But you cannot clam that these are honorable values – they are not.
And your pride in your disregard of the future for the rest of us speaks poorly of your character.

Honestly, you are putting yourself in a rather bad light.

Additionally, can this "responsibility" be monetarily accomplished? What percentage of your income do you dedicate to this responsibility? Are there specific acceptable charities?

Victor, the matter of our obligations as people is even less simple then you think. And there is no level of detail, no exhaustive list, or thoroughly tested bit of reason that would suffice; you are an admitted misanthrope with dishonorable values and pants that are way too short (ok, I guessed about the pants). You have already dismissed core values common to all people (it’s people I talking about here), so having me providing you further example or comparing notes would have no meaning.

I might as well try to convince Richard Dawkins to love Jesus, or Hitler to wear a yamaka, or ****** Clark to host the 2014 New Years Eve Bash. Face it Victor, you are not looking for reason – you are looking for a benevolent thought that you can devour like Mama Cass on a ham samich.

BTW; caring is the precursor to humanities greatest actions. Without its’ spark the home fires would not burn.
