This state is such a clusterf$ck of hypocrites it's not funny. I swear more than half of these fuckers think the Mason Dixie line is on the North and South Carolina boarder.

They had a woman in her 50s on the news last night that said.

Obviously we in this state came out today to vote for Mark Sanford as he is a Republican. We need to keep this state a Red State. If you can't see how far ahead and better off we are than the blue states I don't know what to tell you.

Last I checked this state is so far behind it's not funny.

The good news for the Republicans is that Mark Sanford won the election. The bad news is...that Mark Sanford won the election.

The sad thing is this guy is not the first one to get caught with this. We have had 5 republicans that the House did not go after. Yet you have people voting against the House Ethics bill trying to be passed...

COLUMBIA S.C. Sen. Robert Ford resigned “effective immediately” from the S.C. Senate, said Sen. John Courson Friday at an ethics hearing on alleged ethics violations against Ford.

Courson said Ford submitted his resignation in a letter.

Ford, a Charleston Democrat, did not attend the second of two days of Senate Ethics Committee hearings Friday on eight alleged violations of state ethics laws against him.

Ford was admitted to Baptist Hospital Thursday evening with chest pains, William Runyon, Ford’s attorney said Friday. Ford was released sometime Friday morning, but advised by his doctor to return to Charleston, Runyon said.

Ford, a Charleston Democrat, is accused of depositing campaign donations into personal bank accounts, and spending campaign money on personal medical expenses, gym memberships and purchases from adult stores, according to a state Senate Ethics Committee complaint.

Ford, a state senator since 1993, denied Thursday spending campaign money on himself, telling the Senate Ethics Committee that the purchases at the adult stores, for example, were for gifts for two campaign workers.

“I don’t take no money from my campaign for me,” Ford said. “Every penny went for projects.”

Ford’s personal and campaign banking records were made public during a four-hour Ethics Committee hearing Thursday. During that hearing, a Senate ethics lawyer began outlining the allegations of eight ethics violations by Ford.

After the announcement of Ford’s resignation, Ford’s attorney and Democrats on the committee asked whether it was necessary to continue going through the evidence gathered in an investigation of Ford’s campaign records.

Senate Ethics chairman Luke Rankin, R-Horry, said it was necessary for the hearing to continue, because the committee is charged with producing a report and determining whether to recommend sanctions.
