That "undetectable" part is pretty much BS unless it fires without ammunition.

Even a plastic weapon is going to require dense material around the chamber and barrel. Plastic can show in an x-ray scan, chambers and barrels are pretty distinctive.

IMO, most of the hullabaloo about this plastic gun is all about controlling the masses and scaring voters into giving up more rights.

As far as security is concerned, the metal detectors which people go through would likely not detect these. All you'd need to do is get the bullets and firing pin through somehow. that seems easy enough. That's why the guns present a slightly higher security risk. However, airports and the such are going towards those body scanners, which would pick these up.

either way, shutting this down was a dumb idea. It won't accomplish anything and just makes the government look more toothless.

I am still calling the plastic firearm BS as a threat. I think the creator of this 3D gun was saying anti gun laws are worthless because if someone wants a firearm they can just make one. For security, think simple, the 911 s h i t bags (i.e., SB, I refuse to call them human names), used box cutters and fellow SBs to do their dirty work. Firearms can easily be made without the use of a 3d printer, but I do not want to give any SBs ideas.
