I sort of liked it. It reminded me of a 70s horror flick. Then again I read the Demonologist (Ed and Lorraine Warren) in the 80s and it is one of the few books/movies to creep me out.

Which horror flick has given you the worst nightmares?

None really. In the day maybe the exorcist, the omen, phantasm, the shining, etc.... but none really scare me

the conjuring was actually pretty decent for a recent one. lately they rely too much on special effects and blood etc.

The book "The Demonologist" wigged me out in high school. I through it away because I didn't want it im my house. I bought anothr copy years later. Have not reread it. For all I know it may be hokey like the exorcist.

I've done some reviews/audits in the facility where the Exorcism actually was performed (on a boy from the dc/balmer area that was moved to St. Louis). Always wanted to try to get access to their library material on the matter but know it's not really possible. There is still real debate there as to if it was spiritual or mental illness.

Funny you should mention the Exorcist. I actually watched it in Georgetown- not far from where it was filmed. Later climbed the steps & saw the sights nearby. For some reason, I thought I heard strange sounds (wind howling?) as I walked back to my car in the dark parking lot and my proverbial hairs stood on end.

Only other time I was jumpy after a movie was when I saw Scarface. I actually shook after the shooting ended until I had a couple of drinks.

:-k Now that I think about it, it might have been the family size box of Raisinets and gallon jug of Coke I consumed at the Tivoli.

I watched it a few nights ago with the ladyfriend and wasn't too blown away. I just felt like it was all over the place, and I had a hard time following it, granted I was only paying half-attention while spooling some reels and tying up a bunch of carolina and double-bottom catfish rigs to go huck finn that sh*t the next morning.

It's a repository of stories about an Orwellian organization that oversees and contains a host of demonic, alien, and occult threats to humanity. Anyone can submit them to be vetted and maybe added to the SCP database, so they vary a lot in style and quality from entry to entry, but it has eaten plenty of my nights with rad stories!

Saw it last night and enjoyed it. Then I woke up in the night to piss and saw it was 3:07. That was kind of spooky!
