wheel,
When my daughter was in kindergarten I worked with a dude that could impersonate Elvis to a T.
He would call the house and my little girl would answer the phone and he would talk like Elvis. He told her was alive and working at a Whataburger in Grand Prairie(TX).
Well her 1st grade teacher was a huge Elvis fan and my girl said that Elvis called all the time. Now, my daughter is VERY head strong and when her teacher told her Elvis was dead..
suffice to say it was on...
After a meeting with the teacher , the teacher understood...
You put the moves on the teacher?

Back to Elvis...I still remember my friend calling me to tell me that Elvis had died. He had gone to see the rehearsal when Elvis did the Aloha from Hawaii worldwide performance so he was pretty bummed out. I worked in a record store back then and by the time I came in for my shift, all the Elvis records had sold out. For a little while we couldn't keep them in stock, they'd fly out the door as soon as we got them in.
Our family was camping in the Smoky Mtns. enjoying a nice fire and smores when his death was announced on the 9V transistor radio that evening...Mom & Sis cried for 2 hours.
Had a peanutbutter & nanna sammich in the Kings honor today, UuuUuuhHuuh!
so, yeah,,,
fixed it for you
I was drinking Sangria at an NCO club in Zaragoza, Spain when Elvis died. As I recall, the radio station played nothing but Elvis music for a while.
