I have a 1st gen. Roku that works great when you have a good broadband connection. It pretty much does what they say it does. I would assume that the latest Roku also works like they say it does.

Roku works GREAT. Buy the model that sells for about $99 as it is the top of the line. Loads faster and has ear plugs that fit into the remote control so you can watch at night in bed w/o waking your wife. Tigerdirect store or online catalogue.

Yup thats the roku3. Problem now is wifi. For some reason we have issues connecting to netflix by jyst using the wifi built into the tv. So i thought maybe going through roku into the tv the wifi connection problem would be solved.

Make sure the TV and the router/access point aren't too far apart and that the TV is getting good signal.

Check to see if your wifi router/access point and TV both have current firmware installed.

You could also try a different router/access point if you have one available.

Tv is about 20 feet away from our router. We're using our cable providers router (Wide Open West). Still have connectivity issues.

Tv has no update nor does the router. Any suggestions, buying my own routet and dropping a c-note then having the same issues scares me to waste that money.

A lot of those $40 routers may have trouble maintaining high data throughput even with a good connection.

Rokus look like great devices and I would get one if it wasn't for my jailbroken AppleTV2.
