You used to be able to find t-shirts & sweat shirts with prints like that all over in Madison until the UW came down on them.

In the 90’s there was a big legal fight over Bucky’s image. The UW claimed they had rights to it, the merchants said it is public domain since it’s been around since the 1940’s and the UW hadn’t tried to establish official rights to it until recently.

In the end the UW won out and things like F#ck Em Bucky t-shirts and Get Lucky Bucky condoms disappeared.
