I don't think AMPAC had any intentions of it being a "farce". However, when your underlying principles are staked on educating people about "the phony war on terror", and you want to talk about it near the US Capitol on 9/11, turnout will probably be light. The list of anti-Semite luminaries who were supposed to speak at this bash out numbered the crowd.

The park police were kind enough to give these idiots a permit for their very important rally, while denying one to the 2 million or so motorcyclists who came through town to commemorate 9/11.[frypan]
