MARLIN FIREARMS CLOSING ITS DOORS

Even if you do not own a gun you need to know this. I checked this out on "Truth or Fiction" who verified it. I trust them more than Snopes. Marlin Firearms is already closing its doors! They are doing it to us, America ! This needs to be spread to all gun owners and sportsmen/women. We cannot rely on the media to inform us of these types of matters.

Something you may not know that Is happening ... Who is buying the companies manufacturing guns??? For the last several years a company called The Freedom Group has been buying up gun and ammunition manufacturers. Some of the companies are Bushmaster, Marlin, Remington, DPMS, Dakota Arms and H&R. Some people worry that this Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States . If you control the manufacturers you can decide to stop selling to civilians.
What a perfect way to control guns. Now if you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a company called Cerberus Capital Management. Guess who controls Cerberus??? GEORGE SOROS, Obama's chief financier!! He wants to restrict or ban all civilian guns. Please pass this on to all your freedom loving friends. This needs to come out. Why have we not heard about this in the "mainstream" media? I would think this would be BIG news. (Soros also owns Progressive Insurance). If you don't know who George Soros is, you need to do some research. This One-World Government atheist backed Obama with millions of dollars and Obama is a puppet on a string controlled by Soros.

Drafter, how old is this? Marlin shut down their North Haven plant 3 years ago, and there where rumors all over the internet that they went out of business, but it was not true. I'm curious if this is a left over "ghost" from when all the rumors where going around.

They just had on the news here last week that they were in the process of moving the company to South Carolina.
The governor of South Carolina did a press op with members of management from Marlin!

I have a lever action 44mag Marlin saddle rifle from the early 60's.I got it a pawn shop 30 yrs ago It's beautiful. A walnut stock I refinished years ago and a brass butt plate..

It shoots straight but kicks like a mule. ( 300 grain ammo).
If I ever bump into a grizzly bear here in Tx , ,,,,

Remington has been making the Marlin line for a few years now. Poorly, I might add. The machining and parts fitment is nowhere near the old standards. I have an old 336 in 32 Win Spl. its smooth as buttah...Checked out a new one in stainless recently at a shop - the action was rough, machining was rough, stock fitment was off in that it wasnt a smooth height transition to the receiver...sad to see since Marlin rifles were once so nicely made.

Sad to here that Remington has done a hatchet job on the Marlins. I've got a 336C in .30-30. It's my first rifle. My dad bought it for me about 35 years ago. I miss my dad.

Wheel, I also have that .44 mag lever action (model 1894 if I'm not mistaken). It was the first rifle I ever bought, as soon as I turned 18, which would have been almost 40 years ago.

Wheel, after re-reading your post, I think you have the 1894 Saddle Ring model, which is no longer made. Mine is the standard 1894 with padded butt plate, not the brass one. Not as pretty as yours, but a little easier on the shoulder.
