Poll Question: Who would you prefer to win?

I'll work on the asumption that most of you are not regular attendees of bullfights. But if the travelling bullfighting circus came to town, and you had a free, premium seat with all the food and drink for the event paid for, who would you be cheering for?

The matador or the bull?

Back in the early sixties, Long Island Friday nights included watching the Flintstones, wrasslin, and Mexican bullfights on channel 20 with Ray Scott giving the blow by blow. Now THAT'S good entertainment and lasting memories with dad!

I voted for the brave matador (and picador) over the slab of delicious angry beef.

In this country we can't hurt the bulls

In Mexico they can

I think its a cruel sport either way

Those lil Spanish guys never did nuthin to deserve having to wear those sparkly tights !

I saw today was the anniversary (25 years?) since a renowned bullfighter was gored and died in a fight in Southern Spain. There is YouTube of the fight, goring, and the surgeon trying to sew him up.

It is nasty graphic.

8, I went to a couple of "authentic" Spanish bullfights when I was a kid. I think I saw Manolete once. The air was electrified as the banderillero, picador (horseback), and finally the matador took turns challenging the bulls. I think that the pc movement and animal right's folks will have this cultural happening/sport banned in our lifetimes.

What an irony, we live with human abortion all around us, enjoy mma & dangerous X games but bullfights are baaaaad.

Perhaps they'll target fishing next.
