Weber Middle School in Port Washington fear that students will get hurt at recess. So, they issued a ban on footballs, lacrosse balls and any other type of ball that could lead to injuries on the playground. Fox News reported that administrators have even put the kibosh on tag.

My older brother took my father's Browning 9mm pistol into high school because he had to give a demonstration speech. He demonstrated how to disassemble and clean the pistol. This was ~ 1978. Wasn't a big deal. He went to his locker got the pistol right before the class; gave his speech and then returned it to his locker. I believe he got an A on the assignment.
