Regardless of race can someone explain to me how a 19yr old drunk girl knocking on your door can put you in fear of your life?

Without being there, I think it is very fair to say that this question is unanswerable. Apparently there is only one person alive who knows exactly what happened. Before jumping to conclusions, one should examine the evidence. To do otherwise is presumptuous and utterly useless.
I've seen many intoxicated people. Some exhibit a more congenial personality while others have a more vile temperament. I think it's safe to say that if one was to conduct an informal poll of first responders such as EMS, Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement Officers, one would learn that it is NOT at all uncommon for highly intoxicated individuals to be very confrontational and even act violent towards others.
He should have just called 911.

Michigan has a "Stand Your Ground" law. As such, he apparently had no legal requirement to retreat. Whether one agrees with it or not, all that really matters is that at the time of the shooting it was the law. As such, anyone subject to that law is under it's "cone of protection."
I think this was a person just waiting for ANY excuse to use that shotgun.

Please share what information you have that backs this assumption.
BTW most black people hate Al Sharpton too.

What study does this point to?
I've yet to meet a black person who said Sharpton represents them and is their voice in any racial discussion. How this guy got a T.V. show I'll never know. He must have some good blackmail pics of someone over at MSNBC.

Finally something I can agree with.

In addition, why all the sudden outrage. With 368 murders, in 2012 Detroit ranked as the second most deadly city in the United States, just behind Flint, MI which was ranked as the number 1 most dangerous city in the same time period.
Why wasn't Sharpton outraged about those murders. Better yet, why didn't any of them make national headlines? Perhaps, because Sharpton doesn't really care about murders as a whole. Perhaps he only cares about murders that he can profit from. Had this been black on black or even black on white, does anyone think this killing would be a blip on his radar?
