Someone had to select Meh, not a big fan but have had a piece here or there over the decades that were as Queenie put it......tolerable!

That being said Raymond you should have left the name blank and let folks fill in " their favorite friut" and make a contest out of it.....winner of biggest fruitcake ( decided by forum members) gets a fiver. 🌫

I hate it, but my dad apparently makes a pretty good one... he makes them a few months before he's going to mail them out to people... he puts them in big tupperware bowls, fills the bowls with rum, covers them, and then lets them sit a few months...

I may not be allowed back in my natal state of Georgia, but the Claxton, GA variety that is sold all over the world and the one most folks think about as fruitcake, pretty much sucks, for me. On the other hand there are a lot of homemade recipes that are delicious, especially the Eagle Branc icebox variety.
