Bloody, I read something to that effect in local (Boston) media, and am dumbfounded that anyone would think this is a good idea. I seriously doubt anyone named Romney does.

Well, he DID take the independent vote last time, Fiddler. Perhaps he figures that if he can tweak a few things he can get more of the conservative and still retain his moderate base. I'm sure the same group of professional handlers who helped him, Dole, and McCain are telling him how wonderful the match-up against Hillary would be.

I don't think he would, but then we should never underestimate the lack of imagination in the GOP. Meanwhile, they are doing their best to alienate libertarians and help the democrats in 2016.
