Bassdude,

If they don't give a rat's azz about my point of view, then that's up to them.

Personally I think it's pretty high & mighty of you to make an assumption that their shoes are any more or less worn than mine. You don't know me or my life, and judging by your comment, you don't care to know me either. Your choice, but I'm not a bad guy, even if we have differing opinions.

Bjaardker-

This is really the usual kind of reply you are guaranteed to get from some of these guys. If you dare to dispute their POV you are instantly reviled and belittled, the moment you give it back they accuse you of the type of single-minded arrogant posturing that they are themselves most guilty of.

You just can't win with some guys.

On the other hand, I think most of the folks here are pretty cool, probably yourself included, even though most of them disagree with me on most subjects!

Hang in there, we need differing opinions in this joint or it'll just get boring.

You can dispute the PoV all you want. But when you refer to them as ignorant and assume life must be easy when at least one of them is stationed overseas then you are correct I don't care to get to know you at all.

"Damn... Life must be easy for you guys.

Just make a sweeping generalization about a group of people so you can ignore what is said & not tax yourselves with thinking about someone's point of view.

Maybe that's what the Bush administration meant when they said they would be cutting taxes.

Tell me... is ignorance really as blissful as they say it is?"

Comments like that lead me to believe your just a candy azz and have never spent time in the military. If I am wrong I salute you for your service.

Bassdude,

Are you implying that candy azzes that have never served in the military are not entitled to an opinion and should be second class citizens?

Tell the cons that are in office that. I'm not talking about the average citizen that's conservative. I dont personally know any that talk garbage like "our Military is broke". That's just plain bull****. I'm speaking of idiots like Dubya or T.DeLay. Tee..hee. X

Funny LOT has changed since then

Today its the Whining Republicans who are NOT rooting for us.
They walk around crying that the sky is falling and America has gone to hell in a hand-basket.
In reality, life is great, the stock market is at its all time highest and so many folks drive BMWs now that they are making them here, and exporting 70%

Today we know that the Bush administration did NOT root for America when it destroyed our markets, oil prices and made the middle east richer. And he was an Oil man...wait a moment..an oil man with Saudi friends. Yeah he sure rooted for us.

We even have a professional group of whiners called the Tea Party.

For centuries they have been crying that Rome will fall.
Guess what, it has fallen many times, folks still wear fancy shoes and drive beautiful cars.

Nah.... I don't think it's adroomi. While I firmly believe he would giggle a little bit if he were self referential like that, this guy veers around a bit too much. Plus he's been around for 4 years posting (apparently a few hundred times). If adroomi were to come back, he'd just create a new name and make a splash, not ease into it.
