Considering scavengers don't flock toward coyote carcasses, I'd assume dog isn't much better...

^ Serious question- Then why is dog so sought after in parts of the world? I'm sure there are other options available (assorted fowl, goats, sheep, geese, pigs, reindeer, chickens...).

Maybe domesticated dogs, raised on commercial dog food, are a bit better.

Typically carnivorous animals are not particularly good for eating.

Vegetarian or omnivores, the latter of which would cover domesticated dogs.

I wonder which is more palatable (tastes better for folks from Guadalajara) dog ,cat, or rat? All have have a varied diet.
As an aside, rat, dog, cat, & horse become delicacies in times of want.

Haven't had any of those, though have had squirrel a couple times and that's pretty good. But, they're vegetarian so I doubt the flavor is the same to the ground dwelling rodents.
