Took my truck out to Ocotillo Wells state vehicle recreation area... also known as 'the desert'. Lots of hills to climb, sand dunes, washes... but also rocks and ridges.

Good time. It performed quite well with street tires on it.

Shawn, isn't that the place that Marla hangs out these days? Last time I checked in with her she said she was off-roading a lot and didn't have time to waste on forums. Can't blame her. I'm envious of your proximity to a decent off-road spot. Love the truck. Have a good one.

There was a series of 3 or 4 'speed bumps' spaced about 4 feet apart that I did not notice and hit going about 20 mph. That did it.

You'd be wrong. When I hit those bumps all 4 of the tires left the ground, though probably not at the same time. I know the suspension traveled as far as it could go each way. 🤦 Then when I was making a right turn going down into a wash, the left rear tire was off the ground for a second.

Your point is valid, though. I was not trying to do anything crazy and if I'd noticed the whoopdie-do's, I'd have frickin' slowed down. Thought I wrecked something aside from my undies... I was not trying to ruin my truck.

It may well be, Julian. Haven't spoke to her for a minute... Her and Mike have desert vehicles, though, I think. A tricked out buggy and bikes and what-not.
