Started off with that little Bahia Matanzas. ( a quick little shorty)

Then had the Fighting rooster.

The Room 101.

Then the San Cristobal.

And finally, the JdN Antano.

This was from about 2:30 in the afternoon until about 8:30 that night.

I must report >>> they were all good smokes.

So there.

🍺

I was out on the Vets Hall patio, of course, when I lit up that Camacho Room 101. We were just standing around the bar outside there listening to music and talking about nuthin'. After a couple of draws, I looked down at the Room 101 label and said... hey, this is pretty good. But, I don't recall exactly the strength and flavor profile. It just met my simple criteria.. easy draw, lot of smoke, and good flavor. I'll fire up another one soon.

Hadn't heard of the red label namakubis.

I don't retrohale. I don't like getting smoke in my nose.

I know my selections are varied. I've bought a lot of 5 packs to try out a... well, a variety. And, it's a well known fact that any one cigar that somebody else likes or dislikes doesn't mean I will like or dislike them.

My main criteria is... does it have an easy draw, lot of smoke, and 'good enough' taste.

Now, I have smoked several brands recently that are a lot better than some of these, but I'm not one to just dismiss the ok smokes.

Tonight I stopped in and smoked a figurado shaped 1844. It lit easy, smoked easy, produced a lot of smoke, tasted good... and so I would put it in the 'good' category. Then I fired up a JdN Fuerte. I haven't had a lot of good luck with those lately. This one started out ok, but after the first third, it wasn't an easy draw and a lot of smoke. It had a good enough flavor, I reckon, but I probably won't be buying any more of those. I have some RP Cargo's that are better.

Some of my favorite smokes lately have been the My Father Le Bijou 1922, the Gurkha Rogue Rascal, the Tatuaje Capa Especial, etc...

Anyway, I'm not trying to sway anybody.... just stating my experience. 😇 Out at the Vets Hall patio, the smoking area, most people smoke cigarettes and a few people smoke one or two cigars a week. I like to smoke 'em one after the other when I'm out there having some beers.

And I like Gurkhas!

OK fair enough BUT I have to say this,You are really not tasting much of the cigar if you do not retro.Mabey you could post this up in the Cigar discussion.I am not trying to tell you what to do but you will enjoy it alot more if you do.Another question,Why don't you like the smoke blowing out your nose.

Not trying to be an azz!!!🍺

You can really f up your sinus by retrohaleing..I think its way over rated and all I get from it is a tinggly nose..I taste em better the ordinary way,,more to savor IMO...but a lot of people swear by it..its just not for me...

Ok... I have to take a step back on that JdN Fuerte up in Post #13. Tonight I pulled the next to the last one of those from the Vets Hall humidor to give it yet another try.

This one was -good-. It smoked easy, good amount of smoke, and it had good flavor.

So, now I'm not so inclined to exclude them.

You just never know, eh?
