Marines from Infantry Training Battalion headed to SC to do a cigar fund raising event for the troops on Friday.

I had done one of these a few months ago in order to continue the fine work started by OpFTH. At the last one we raised over 300 hand made cigars and packaged them to be sent the very next day.

Never thought we would be able to beat that record, yet we totally exclipsed it on Friday. We put together 2 200 count boxes and were nearly ready to fill a third when the evening came to a close.

Well over 400 hand made cigars from nearly every big name brand. There were even some Opus and PAM in the mix.

Special thanks goes out to Nick and everyone in Myrtle Beach for all their support.

I must admit I myself smoked 3 different Opus while I was there and drank more than my share of Scottish Beer and Merlot. The spread they had set up for the event was awesome.

Sounds like a plan, unless of course I can fanagle the whole family into going then we may have to drive. At any rate, Lynn would love the opportunity to go as well. And I've got a feeling visiting her family in PA would lend nicely to me attending. Always looking for the right angle you know.

I think Lynn would have a blast during the weekend. I might actually try to convince my spouse to come next year. Knof met some mightly fine women but with me as a room mate for the weekend it scared them all off.
