Meh... in Rhode Island we call them clam cakes. Clam fritter is acceptable, but nobody does clam cakes like Rhode Island.
NOBODY. So... if somebody wants to call it a clam 'fritter', they wouldn't be wrong, per se, just not from RI.
My sister took me to Iggy's because it was closer to where my mom is in hospice. I prefer Aunt Carrie's. Bigger cakes, more clams.
