Croatia v. Brazil (the favorites) to kick the whole thing off this afternoon.

Germany, Spain, and Argentina also expected to challenge for the title.

England and Italy fighting with Uraguay to get out of the group.

The USA plays Ghana on Monday.

Where are you going to be watching the games? What are your predictions?

Riots are a fair bet.

I know that USA (13) drew a crappy group that includes Portugal (4) and Germany (2). They're toast I'm afraid.

I follow England and they will fair well in the group rounds I think. I wouldn't count Germany out, they are a powerhouse this year.

Who do you follow 8track and who's your outset prediction for a winner?

I catch most of the games at my local shpo, it becomes World Cup central every 4 years.

^ people are all pissy about that and about him and some of his tactics but the dude is good. He's planning for bigger and better things. It would just be better if he was less honest or less forthcomming. The sporting kansas city fans have few complaints. He does have an arrogance that is unmatched however.

I'm not mad at him. He's right.

Ghana has whooped the US the last 2 time they played, and they're probably the least of the talent they will face in that group.

I think the US could suprise (not win it but do better than expected.... could). That said I think he is pragmatic and building for the future. He is on sports radio here quite a bit either in person or snippets of interviews. he knows his **** but can be unorthadox.

In addition to the US I may root for portugal. Thinking of retireing there. I suppose I should check to see if they made it in first LOL Well group of death. Should have known that.... That's problematic LOL

The US team has an occasional habit of playing way beyond their actual skill level. I don't expect that this time. I got to see them once in a qualifier against Honduras. US lost badly.

They could show up and play beyond their skill and still not advance.

Not really.

Depending on how much you inflate them...

A football is approx 4200 cubic cm

A soccer ball is approx 5500 cubic cm
