I don't give a **** if you or anyone else likes soccer or not.

My comment was in response to what 8track said.
But thanks for clearing that up...
Don't take things so personally man.
He indicated he would not at all be surprised if the game ended in a 0-0 "tie".........
I have a feeling the "fix" is in........both teams will kick the ball around, keep possession, not spend too much energy....
In this situation, I think winning the group may not be worth the effort.
Playing an easy, safe game to a draw benefits both teams.
It's happened before in World Cup play.
Yes it happened in the 80s which is why they play simultaneous games now. It wasn't really even a "fix". They both just got word of a result and then sort of kicked the ball around a bit.
Everyone needs a conspiracy.
It won't be a blatant "display". But it could become a factor.
If ether Germany or the US scores in the first 20-30 minutes, well then, things would change, and each team would play "normally",
BUT, like shaun341 is indicating, if it's a tie at the 70th minute??
We'll see...............
He said that the best chance for the US is to play for a nil-nil tie.
And of course, the krauts would benefit and win the group.
But he said nothing of a fix.
In fact, the US coach alluded to a fix by scheduling the favorites most favorably (Germany with an extra day off, etc) but Tommy said that was ridiculous.
I enjoyed his commentary and loved that he thought they should suspend the floppers for at least a couple games. Said it would instantly end flopping. Then he said no one in soccer had the balls to institute the rule.
Refereeing sugs!
Balotelli's karate kick aimed at the head in the first half was a blatant effort to injure. Reminded me of the French player who played for Man U in the 90's...Coach was wise to sit him out for second half, but it didn't help. Glad Italy is out.
The mad-dog Suarez will prolly get a one year suspension, if not a lifetime ban. Three biting incidents... wow. What a nutjob, and a waste of talent. His absence will cost Uruguay a world class scorer.
