Z I'm just giving you crap. I didn't associate you with info wars but do put the two sources in the same bucket.

Better lol.

Where I would disagree with you on those two is one of those new sources has a belief system the other one has a belief system that enforces a political party and tries to shift it further to the left.

When a news source is less likely to support a particular party it does alter the filter through which I view them. I personally think it's weak to be afraid of listening or reading material you disagree with.

Yeah.

Because the republican party hasn't been shifting further to the loony right at all these past few years.

Nope.

I haven't called you any names. I generally don't.

Both sources publish talking points. Hell, you've used Infowars as a source:

The media's job is only to provide accurate information.
Society isn't harmed unless the media provides inaccurate information.

You want to argue which harms society, then you have to determine which is more often wrong.

It's funny in a way. In this era of information you would think we would be better informed about an event, agenda, or anything else we are interested in. Yet there is so little unbiased reporting I usually feel less well informed. I read many articles and then try to surmise the truth.

By your statement you're implying people that consume news from Infowars or people from the right are loons. In this thread I specifically was speaking to dailykos.

The media's job used to be one of a watchdog. Dailykos is a conservative watchdog that's all they watch. Then they complain when the left does not go left enough. Yes I have quoted from stories that info wars has done had you looked to see if that particular one was corroborated with an approved mainstream media source?

That's irrelevant. I'm sure plenty of dailykos stories are corroborated as well.
As for the republicans being loons... you'll notice my use of the words "further to" implying the far right is loony, not the "right" in total. You'll see many posts of mine lamenting the loss of a viable republican party.

As for watch-dogs... you're half right. When Daily Kos acts as a conservative watchdog, they're being a watchdog. Why do you then think they aren't being a watchdog when they complain about the left not being left enough? They're legitimately being a watchdog for their constituents by pointing out things the democrats have failed to do for them.

Same with infowars. When they complain about the democrats, they're being watchdogs. When they complain about republicans, they're being watchdogs for the far right by pointing out how the republicans have failed them.

As I said earlier, this is all fine. AS LONG AS IT IS ACCURATE INFORMATION.

Many of these sites are incorrect. Infowars and their constant benghazi crap, giving us information that's either factually inaccurate or contextually inaccurate (this is as important as factually) or just plain irrelevant.

Now, I am forced to read less Daily Kos crap, because I don't have people around me constantly posting it and screaming at the top of their capital letters about it... so I don't know what its track record is in comparison to infowars, but I bet someone out there has done a comparison.

For the record, the DailyKos story is corroborated by multiple other news organizations.
