Great world news in english without a radical Islam bite. More general news about Middle East/Arabs/Islam than I have seen anywhere else although not an overwhelming amount. Don't always agree, but it is seldom confrontational w/o balance. Good to take in alternative perspectives.

Watch it on cable TV if you cannot get it on the internet. Not talking about a written version or anything other than the english version. Definitely better than the Japanese and Krean, etc. international news and stories than Japan, versions Korean, etc., etc. TV news in english. Much more in depth. Watching/listening about World Cup and its impact on Brazilian economy right now. What is the link to what you read?

One would do well to remember that the squeaky wheel get the grease. As such, sometimes what may appear to be the stance of a group may really be the stance of a much louder sub group.

In addition, though one may not agree or even care, it is always good to look at yourself through another set of eyes. Doing so will answer the questions about why one's attempts to solve a problem seems to fall on deaf ears.

Translated it would appear that you are saying that Islam is using terrorism to accomplish this. I would say that there is a sub group within Islam trying to do that.

Good down the middle news reporting, providing longer and more detailed exposition of current events in America and internationally. Although it's owned by the royal family of Qatar's news organization, Al Jazeera America is based in the US and staffed primarily by American journalists with previous news agency experience. No obvious promotion of, or propaganda from Islamic, conservative or liberal points of view.

Don't let the name of the network bias your decision to give it a look.

Not really on point with the subject at hand, but for lack of a better thread, it's a real shame that "our" news organizations are all but a memory. CBS, NBC, CNN and certainly FOX and MSNBC are little more than propaganda outlets. PBS does its best to be neutral, but falls short. ABC on the other hand is so soft and political it's laughable. What was once a decent news outlet is now the channel of feel good reporting. It's gotten to the point that it appears ABC uses soft focus lenses.

What ever happened to reporting the facts and letting the viewer decide? Thank you Ted Turner and CNN for killing real news. There wasn't enough news for a 24 hour news channel when you started CNN. There certainly isn't enough news now for the five or so 24 hour "news" channels we have now.
