Sorta.

It's really a plea.

Many years ago I had hair. Some of you older members may remember that.

The first time I shaved my head was for the St. Baldricks foundation; I've been bald ever since.

Why? Why did I go under the clippers at a St. Baldrick’s event? I did it to raise money for childhood cancer research. I went bald in solidarity with kids battling this terrible disease.

Since I stay bald year round, the real sacrifice is with this mustache. I compete internationally, so it's a pretty big deal to get this trimmed. I never let'em whack the whole thing, but I go under the shears to raise money for these kids.

I know that if I said "Please send me some cigars." most of you would send me a fiver just for the fun of it. I'm asking you to donate less than the postage that would cost.

And you don't have to leave your home to help.

I hope you can make a donation.

What kind of wax do you use? My mustache hairs are pretty course and i cant get clubmans to hold a good curl. Also im mostly mustache newb i stopped trimming in november and just let it go

I use several products all mixed into one "sauce." I could tell you what I use but it really wouldn't matter. You need to find out what works for you. I used to use clubman but have moved on. Plenty people love it. I think it's better for shorter handlebars. If you're going to stick with that, I would say drop a half-inch line of Natural into your palm and then a quarter-inch line of Black. Let your body warmth soften it up into a lotion. Mix it up really really well till it's supersoft. Toss the brush and comb that comes with the wax and just work it into your mustache with your fingers. The natural alone can look flaky and dandruffy. The black alone looks like stage makeup.

If that doesn't work you could also try a bunch of pomades and hair glues till you find one that works best for your hair. I know that the got2Bglued hair glue is pretty popular as well as the blast freeze spray by the same company. There is one guy on the net who uses a glue stick. He likes it 'cause he can just throw a stick in his pocket and he's good for the day. I've also heard of people using the wax rings from a toilet believe it or not. I haven't tried it but I've heard people say that it's too sticky and too permanent for a mustache. It may be right if your hair is coarse or stubborn.

I hope this gives you several good ideas. It'lll take some trial and error. I've been having this about four years and I'm just starting to get good at it.

Don't let that discourage you though; the time will pass anyway. You don't want to look back and wish you had started in March 2015.

It's not easy or convenient, but it's well worth the effort.
