I read your post. You assign some sort of greater challenge for a nonbeliever to find their gusto and get a job. Obviously some form of self flattery, but one that rings hollow.
Most people of faith forge out a life and then might reflect upon it. Without faith, you still find that same life but there is no higher calling or need for reflection. How is that a greater challenge?

It's lucky for all that I'm a believer and not an atheist. That threat of eternal damnation is probably all that keeps me from killing a whole lot of stupid people.

having gone through Hebrew School growing up, I became aware in my youth that whether there was a God or not, I had personal values and morals that matched and went beyond the Ten Commandments I learned of from the...ahem, pre-Christian OLD TESTAMENT! A Rabbi told me the entire underlying message of the OT/5 Books of Moses/Torah was "The Golden Rule"...do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I try to live that way on a daily basis, not because I am told to or scared not to, but because it is clearly the right way to be. This I know innately, maybe genetically somehow.

My personal belief system aside (it is a work in progress, in constant state of flux), I "naturally" believe I should not murder, steal, etc without an organized or disorganized religion with an omnipotent all-knowing deity hovering above it keeping me in line. Somehow I have been able to find purpose, honor, and reason to do right without worrying much about the discussion of God vs No God that is in my head.

Believers can not understand atheists finding that purpose because they are unable to empathize with what could be atheists' motivation, and the same is true of those mocking believers.

I am a firm supporter of Capitalism, as long as they pay taxes like everyone else, and businesses don't discriminate. With that being said, I never want to visit Indiana again.

Ya... just an opinion.... I choose to pray but a compelling theory of how religion started was to install fear amonst the peoples.... just someone elses opinion tho... 😟
