abrignac is anthony.... keep up tail. :)
Come on tail... you're going in all sorts of different directions now.
First... "basic biology".As we get more information, we are learning that gender and sexuality goes way beyond "basic biology". You only have to go as far as the androgen receptor failure to see how societal norms regarding one's "basic biology" isn't going to have any impact on how a person identifies themselves. There are amazing functions of the brain we have very little understanding of, and both existing evidence and simple logic suggests that most individuals deciding they are not what their "basic biology" dictates isn't on a whim or confused. That being said, some small percentage, especially in youth when hormone levels are fluctuating, may have trouble understanding how they identify. In some cases, given hormonal fluctuations, they may not even be confused... depending on how much of what hormone is expressed they may actually feel as if they belong to a different gender.
Second... what exactly is your concern about a transgender in the locker-room with your daughter. I really need you to be more specific than "It's wrong"... one can't have a constructive conversation about a topic with "it's wrong". More pointedly, the only response to an argument of "it's wrong" is "it's right", which I find to be an irritating argument as well.
Third, you're starting to bring in sexual attraction. This is a fun part of the argument, because the only end result of "Caitlyn Jenner shouldn't use the women's locker room because she still has a desire for women" is that we have a "women's" "Men's" and "Women's golf" locker rooms. I actually think this is an interesting solution, to simply separate based on who you're attracted to.... if you want to have sex with peens, go in one locker room (regardless of what you're packing), if you want to have sex with vayjayjays, go in the other locker room (again, regardless of your equipment).... It wouldnt solve your problems, but would be hilarious.
