I brought him up to the boat on the bow (less crowded, and that's where he went). About a 10 foot drop to the water so he had to be gaffed. So he was stabbed there with a sharp hook on the end of a bamboo pole... and hoisted aboard that way. I had 40 lb line with a 30 lb fluorocarbon leader, but I wasn't about to see if it would hold him... or if the hook would stay in.
