McCarthy is an idiot. And an even bigger idiot for saying what he did about the Benghazi hearings. Without those hearings we would have never known about Clinton's email's, the email's and "special arrangements" for her two assistants, the fact the Emails where held by a third-party IT firm and not at her home, or the fact that four Americans lost their lives due to improper leadership from above. The scary part is that there is still probably a lot more to the story that we the people will never know. Was the US State Dept involved in illegal arms sales? Ironic that the attack was on the 9/11 anniversary - not just the Twin Towers but the Anniv of the US lead coup in Chile. Many say the Twin Towers attack was to serve as a reminder of that coup, and how the US also abandoned efforts with the young Bin Laden.

Put the young Paul Ryan in there. Get some fresh blood in there. At least he won't be sobbing all over himself at every press conference.

I don't think McCarthy was the right guy and has skeletons of his own to protect. It prolly has to be one of the flash in the pan guys who don't mind shortening their career. The gop is so fractured right now a serious politician would be foolish to take it. Whomever takes it shortens their career unless they can actually get their party to collaborate and be productive and that's not likely. There is too big of gap there.

And before the barking parots emerge I didn't place a value judgement here, just my opinion on the type of person needed not whether that is good or bad. I don't think diplomacy is in the cards here.

The pubs should see if Dennis Hastert or as some would call him, Denny the Diddler, is available.
