Hey everyone – I’ve run lots of cigar box passes over the last several years for other forums and communities, but never for the CBID community. I’d like to do some here this year, and this will be my first!

Sign up will be open to everyone. I'll seed the box with an arrangement of cigars, from good to very good (MSRP of each cigar will be approx. $5-$15). No dogrocket cigars please. Swap a couple cigars and then pass to the next participant. I’ll send out more detailed instructions with the box pass. I’m taking no more than 10 folks to make sure this moves along quickly.

I usually require that all everyone participate in a group text message so everybody can follow the progress of the pass.

I also usually include a small “thank you” to whoever is the first to sign up.

Take 2, put 2 ... or ... take 3 put 3. It's up to the participant.

Cigars should be one for one with respect to value. The detailed instructions that come with the box pass will specify that put and takes should always be of equal value.

One more question. Did you mean cbid cigars or was that just the name of the thread?

That's just the name of the thread. In lots of my past box passes, I'd have a specific box pass theme, but I plan to have this one be very open.

I intend to start this as a Small Flat Rate. If anyone piggybacks cigars to the next participant in the pass, then it might have to change over to a Medium flat rate box. I don't expect it to get up to a Large flat rate.
