I still think I'm in that phase where everytime I hear about a tat limited release or padron or my father limited release I want to instantly drop money for a box, but are you guys tired of hearing about all these limited releases or you think it's good for the industry because of the spectacle it creates?

I'd assume it also helps with sales and getting people to go out and buy a box without even trying one just because of its scarcity.

I found out a while back they are still just cigars, not worth the chase.

the press releases don't faze me and front page covers of the Cigars International catalogs just get filed away...in the circular file box....

hahaha ya you said it best mikey. Sometimes the cigars even aren't as important as all the great people you get to meet and that I've met. I think I'll try and limit myself to one limited edition a year. Can't go cold turkey just yet.

Only one I bought this year was the group buy on the LG small batch VI that Bart put on. They were worth it, should've bought more.

Most limited editions aren 't. They were created artificially to raise the price and increase profits.

I think Tat has realized limited edition releases are getting played out because they are not releasing any this year supposedly although I have seen some pics floating around with special release cigars.

Other then that I bought into the hype for the first time this past year and bought up a bunch of limited edition and store release stuff. Not much of it was worth the coin but there were a few that I really like. This year I don't plan on buying much stuff besides regular production stuff to stock up on in case the FDA screws us and we have to pay absurd prices for a 5vegas and Victor Sinclairs.

Ya that's probably the biggest thing that's going to matter in 2016 is what the hell the government is going to say about cigars. With all these articles about increasing the tobacco purchasing age and increasing taxes on tobacco coming out it seems very hard to think they'll just keep cigars exempt from the proposed bill, but I have hope. Do you know if Pete stopped the single store releases because he just didn't feel they were making profits or because of all the regulations swirling around? Maybe another reason?

Goes to show you just slapping a limited edition label or making it limited production doesn't always mean it's the best cigar you'll ever have or that Tatuaje will ever make IMHO.
