I'm thinking that is becoming highly likely that someone will actually kill Trump before the Republican convention. The question is morphing more now towards whether it will be a republican conspiracy, one of the crazy supporters that becomes disillusioned, or someone that opposed him all along hoping to end the evil.

I think Trump is an azzhole.
Wouldn't let him watch my kids.
But his simplistic ideas are a breath of fresh air.

Simplify the tax laws.
Even out the trade imbalance.
Control illegal immigration.

You say he changes his tune, but he doesn't. He gets caught up in the rhetoric and says stupid things. But the message is the same: Let American Capitalism thrive and the good times will follow.

If you disagree that's fine. But do it for the right reasons.

I am with you on Trump here, with the exception that his trade and tariff policies worry me.
If you start slapping tariffs on things, other countries retaliate and then there is a trade war, which is very bad for the economy. That whole Smooth-Hawley thing exacerbated problems for the U.S. and led to the Great depression.

If he clarifies it in the future, maybe it will be more clear. If it is like that isolationism act, then I am troubled by it.

Actually, that tariff act was during a time when America had an abundance of manufacturing. The opposite is true today, and the trade deficit needs to be corrected even if it appears to be isolationism to some degree.
Funny how we would get accused of being isolationists simply for wanting to BALANCE the trade differential.
We can't let appearances and hurt feelings stop us from regaining our manufacturing base, which virtually by itself will rebuild the middle class.

As I said, he would need to clarify his trade proposal to ease my mind, but massive tariffs will not be a good thing.

Don't misinterpret that I am accusing you of being an isolationist.
I am saying I don't want the trade stance to be an isolationist one, where it actually harms the country by massive tariff action that will surely be retaliated agains and our exports will be hurt.

Other than food, we import our consumables and it's killing us. We claim the middle class is dying. We blame the 1% or we blame the illegals. But it's the lack of manufacturing.
We used to make sh*t. Lots of it. Because we were good at it.
And it spawned jobs. Careers. A middle class.
