Is it throwing a code? If so take it to a auto zone or O'Reilly, they will run a test for free....usually.

I have a Durango, but I wouldn't know an evap problem if it was staring me in the face...what's an evap problem? We had evaps on ships, but since my truck doesn't make fresh water, I wouldn't have guessed it has one

Evaporator systems have exisisted on vehicles for a few decades, they take the vapors that evaporate from your tank and inject them into the engine. Problem is in Texas if it's not fixed you cant pass inspection. The code is 0441 for either solenoid. It's a bitch though because any minescule leak from the gas cap or other parts of the system can throw it off.
